revolution

Mid-week ideas are hard to come by. I've used two so far. The first one was about Waiting. We called it "In the Waiting Room" it wasn't very popular. I guess no one wants to talk about waiting for God to work in their life. It's a hard topic to admit to. I struggled with the same concept myself until last year. My second topic was about stress. Apparantly students love to identify with stress. So my second week I had about 30 kids in there. I had gone from 2 people to 30! It went well but wasn't my passion yet. Well at Prayer Conf in FL at Camp Kulaqua, Troy Fitzgerald really inspired me to do something active for mid-week. So this time my topic is Revolution. I want to change the world now, start now. No more just talk I want to change my life now and to do so start a revolution. I want the students to see the power in acting for Christ and start a revolution in their life which will create a revolution on our campus. It's big and I think we can do it. I&

The wild wild west. . . of campus

So on Friday Kim Hunt, wife of a faculty member asked me if I wanted to go for a horse ride on the back trails to see where the river has flooded due to the NON stop rain we've had. I, being from Texas said, "Shoot, yeah!" So around 10:45 we made our way on the trails. Me ridding Tony a good sized horse and Kim ridding a taller horse. While out on our adventure we got to wade the horses through some fun river puddles just to get out to the river. We followed the river for quite a while. Then we turned to follow the trail back around behind the faculty homes and started to wade again through the "puddle rivers" but what was just wading before soon became sloshing, then I had to pull my feet back up behind me on the saddle to keep them dry. Soon however it was evident that I was going to have to get my feet wet to keep Tony going. Then not only were my feet wet but my calves, then my thighs and when we came to a 'ditch' my waist also became wet! We were fo
